Data Protection Statement

As a Breed Club registered with the UK Kennel Club, the West of England Border Collie Club is required to maintain lists of members and approved judges and their addresses. Such information to be shared with the Kennel Club as required in the Kennel Club Regulations for the Registration and Maintenance of Title of Societies and Breed Councils and Affiliation of Agricultural Societies and Municipal Authorities.

The minimum of personal data i.e. name, address, telephone number will be held for the purpose of the club keeping members informed of club news and events.  Data is stored in a password protected database accessed by the Secretary. This information to be held as long as you are a member and for one year only after ceasing to be a member.

The name and address of each Club Officer and Committee member is made available to the Kennel Club as stipulated in the Kennel Club Regulations.

In processing personal data (paper or electronic) the West of England Border Collie Club will ·         

The name, address and telephone no. of Judges is stored in a password protected data base accessed by the Secretary.  We will hold this information in our database until such time as the Kennel Club JCF is in place.

The timescale for retention of data:  Show Entry Forms, Catalogues and Schedules for a period of 1 year after the show as per Kennel Club requirements.

Individuals have a right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office if they think there is a problem with the way the West of England Border Collie Club is handling their data.
